3. Spacer Beats

Each of these can be chosen once to gain an ability point. With the GM's approval, a player may invoke a Spacer Beat mid-job, gaining and spending an ability point immediately and integrating the Beat's scene into the job's narrative. For best effect, these should be moments of catharsis and defiance in a desperate situation.

Earning Their Respect

8 Ambition | Captain-only

Cracking the Code

8 Ambition | Operator-only
You make a breakthrough that no-one thought possible; you find a powerful rival's critical vulnerability, discover an opportunity almost too good to be true, or risk frying your brain uncovering a lead to a crewmate's dream

Baring the Wolf's Fangs

8 Ambition | Duster-only

You pull off the impossible with just a toolbox and an insane idea; you jury-rig a solution when everything seems lost, coax a crippled system back to life at a crucial moment, or cannibalise priceless technology to salvage a crewmate's dream

The Perfect Score
