Special Abilities

Are You Feeling Lucky?

Intimidate potential foes with a show of precision, expertise, or ruthlessness in combat. If they are intimidated, gain +1d to Command them.

Battle Medic

You're well experienced with wrapping up your wounds and pushing on without crippling yourself later. Removed or permanently fill a segment of your healing clock, and gain +1d to all healing rolls.

Grit

You can expend your Special Defence to resist physical harm in combat, or to push yourself for combat or tracking.

Spacefold Arsenal

No-one knows how you can carry so many weapons on you, especially the guys at spaceport security. Increase all your load thresholds by 2, and you can always pull out a small weapon even after you've been disarmed.

The Twitch

Call it personal experience or just healthy paranoia, but you always know when someone has put you in danger; such as double-crossing you, luring you into ambush, or sending you on a suicide mission; and will always act first in such situations. This only triggers when there is intent behind the danger, and only once you have entered the situation.

School of Hard Knocks

Mark 1 Tension to use an Prowess skill when performing a Insight action, or vice versa. Describe how you support the action with this skill.

For example, you may use Tough in place of Hack, giving a recalcitrant electronic lock a swift kick to convince it that keeping you out isn't worth getting its wires pulled out.

Seasoned Tracker

Your keen senses and experience give you a near-preternatural skill at following leads and trails. Gain +1d to track down a target, including following literal tracks, questioning others to trace someone's movements, or using directions, maps, or other tools to reach a destination.
